For 2005, Robb Report picked Solstice, Tanner and Haley (formerly A&K Destinations) and Exclusive Resorts as their ‘Best of the Best” in the Destination Club category. We have two observations:

(1) We don’t know what level of research and analysis that Robb Report completed before coming to their conclusion. However, we do know that we are spending a TON of time assessing which clubs we think have what it takes to satisfy its members and build a long-term viable business. This is a signifigant decision for any family, and we think the analysis needs to go deeper than which homes look fabulous.

(2) Our picks for 2006 will probably include only one of the clubs that Robb Report highlighted last year. That could change as we are still completing our founder/management interviews with each club – but this process has taught us that management transparency and openness will be important factors in our decision to recommend a club or not.
