The World is an ultra-luxury residential cruise ship with 165 residences and owners can join the ship at anytime during its always-sailing itinerary.

A two bedroom, two bath, 1,300 sq. ft. residence aboard the cruise ship can be purchased for $2.7 million, with annual fees of about $235,000 ($650/day). But there are other ways to experience the World. Exclusive Resorts owns five units on the ship, and your club membership would enable you to book them. But we have heard from Exclusive Resorts members that availability is often tight – at least for the in-demand itineraries (such as Europe).

About 30% of the owners put their onboard residences into the rental pool, so you can rent a residence (minimum stay six nights), like a hotel room. Rates range from $1,000 to $4,000 per night per couple. See where the World is sailing in 2007.
