The fractional car club industry continues to grow. Club Sportiva, which has sites in San Francisco, San Jose and Munich, Germany, is planning to open locations in New York and Las Vegas this spring. Even more exciting, Sportiva will soon announce two new locations that are currently under wraps.

Could Los Angeles be one of the sites they’re considering? Club Sportiva’s founder and president, Torbin Fuller told European Car magazine (“Don’t Buy It, Share It” – October 2006) that he’s looking to expand to Los Angeles. He says that LA is an ideal location because it offers car enthusiasts scenic drives and gorgeous destinations.

But if you poke around Club Sportiva’s website, you see that the information has already been leaked. According to their About Club Sportiva page, club houses in San Diego and Los Angeles will open Summer 2007. We’ll have to wait for the official announcement to be sure. Yet considering how car-centric Southern California is, opening in San Diego and Los Angeles makes sense. Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines.
