Real wine enthusiasts need more than a few glasses of wine just to get over the headache of arranging travel. Finding the right place to stay and getting access to exclusive vineyards is often a considerable task, and a new company is aiming to help wine lovers craft their dream vacations without the hassles.
Destination Cellars launched in February of this year, and crafts custom vacations for its clients in top wine regions all around the world – from Napa to New Zealand. In addition to offering insider access to the inner workings of the world’s top vineyards, Destination Cellars organizes all of the lodging, dining, and transportation. At present, Destination Cellars has exclusive relationships with over 70 vintners in eight global wine regions, including Burgundy and Tuscany.
With these relationships, Destination Cellars is offering their members to see the inner workings of a vineyard on a level not available to the general public; think private lecture and tour from a master wine maker followed by a tasting with friends and likeminded wine-lovers.
While not a typical destination club (more on those can be found in our Decision Guide
), Destination Cellar follows in the footsteps of other interest-driven luxury vacation providers. Among destination clubs, these include The Markers for golf and High Country Club for skiing, and private residence clubs like Meriwether Ranch. Helium Report expects these types of clubs to proliferate in the coming years as niche markets gain footing.
